Here
at Liberty Computer Centre, we are always striving to find ways to serve
our customers better. Since August 1999, Liberty has included support information
in the Windows 95/98/XP/2000 System Properties page. The following picture
shows an example of what a generic, unmodified page looks like:

You
will notice the third section of text, labeled "Computer:". In
the Windows XP screenshot, you can see that Windows already displays the
CPU family (Celeron Processor) and how much RAM there is. While all of this
is very well and good, it does not do much to aid the customer should the
need arise. Below you see an example of what the new System Properties looks
like on Liberty computers:

You
should instantly notice several changes. Most obviously, you see the words
"Manufactured and supported by:" over a logo. This eye catching
feature allows anyone to instantly recognize that this machine is a Liberty
computer. To the right, instead of the old heading "Computer:",
you now see two additional lines of text. These lines identify the manufacturer
(Liberty Computer Centre) and the model of the computer (Liberty Celeron
500 in this case). Finally, a button has been added ("Support Information").
Pressing this button reveals the following:

|
|
|
This
window contains all of the contact information necessary for the customer. Note
that it also includes the date of manufacture for this particular computer,
eliminating all guesswork as to how old the machine is or when it was bought.
